We have a comfortable clinic space in Penticton, BC that we share with Willow Midwives, doulas and Penticton Acupuncture and Herbal clinic. Clinic appointments are an hour long and include a full feeding assessment, physical evaluation of your baby, weight and specialized prescriptions and procedures as needed.
In-person appointments are preferable to virtual appointments for the following scenarios: assessment of milk transfer, tongue tie, weighted feeds, full newborn exam, and flange fittings.
Private-pay clinic appointments are available for babies over 6 weeks of age. Some private insurance plans may cover this care. As always, babies under 6 weeks are covered by MSP with a referral.
COVID-19 Masking and support person policies are in alignment with current BC public health guidelines.

Getting off to a good start has a huge impact on breastfeeding/chestfeeding success. Did you know that the first 72 hours after having your baby is the most crucial time for establishing your milk supply?
IBCLC’s from The Milk Clinic routinely see families at Penticton Regional Hospital prior to discharge, Monday - Thursday. We help families establish breastfeeding/chestfeeding and work through challenges that may arise in the early days. If you have your baby at PRH, there is a good chance you will meet with us before you and your baby go home!
